Two young people injured in a new drone attack in kyiv

Ukraine continues its counteroffensive together with Bakhmut and in the direction of Berdiansk and Melitopol

On the war front, the Ukrainian army continues its offensive around Bakhmut (east) and in two other sectors located further south, towards the occupied cities of Berdiansk and MelitĂłpol.

The latest report from the Ukrainian General Staff assures that in the Bakhmut area “our troops continue their offensive actions to the north and south of the city with partial successes”, by consolidating the positions recovered in recent days.

As reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on Monday, the Kiev counteroffensive has managed to recover a total of 24 square kilometers on the flanks of Bakhmut, which has allowed them to keep the city, practically entirely occupied by Russia, under fire control.

In the south, the Kiev government claims that Ukrainian troops have recaptured a total of 169 square kilometers, since the start of the counteroffensive some forty days ago.

In addition, several Russian soldiers lost their lives in a Ukrainian attack on the Duna hotel in Berdiansk (southeast), in which, according to various Telegram channels, the Russian general Oleg Tsokov would have died.

In Mariupol, another Ukrainian attack reportedly hit a Chechen military barracks fighting with the Russian army near this occupied city in southeastern Ukraine.
