LPI 2023
LPI 2023: The countdown to IPL 2023 has started. March 31 is looked forward to with each passing day. All the teams have begun their preparation and foreign players have also begun to participate. But before the start of the IPL, the players are still out due to injury. Meanwhile, another star player has been ruled out of the IPL.
Out twice world champion
Goalkeeper star batsman Johnny Bairstow, who played in the IPL for Punjab Kings, has been ruled out for the whole season this time around. Bairstow has yet to recover from his foot injury and has been ruled out of the IPL for the upcoming Ashes series. Bairstow’s exclusion from the entire IPL is a huge blow to the Punjab team. Still waiting for their first IPL title, it was a good chance for the Punjab team to lift their first trophy this year.
Bairstow worried about injury
We told you that in September of last year, Bairstow had slipped on the golf course and injured his leg and had a ‘dislocated’ ankle. Due to this injury, he was unable to play in the T20 World Cup in Australia and then the tour in Pakistan. Bairstow then had to undergo foot surgery.
The Ashes series is likely to take place in June-July this year and if the 33-year-old star player is fully fit, he will be the first choice for selection in the squad. This is also because he provides strength to England’s batting. Last year, Bairstow was in excellent form, scoring four Test centuries, but then suffered this injury. Since then he has been away from international cricket.
