Two individuals seen climbing the Montparnasse tower

Two individuals, supposedly men, were climbing the Montparnasse tower in Paris on Thursday evening, September 23, several people observed on the spot, including a journalist from CNEWS.

Stunned by the scene, onlookers quickly unsheathed their smartphones to take photos that were quickly found on social networks.

Around 9 p.m., no information was yet available as to the identity of the two protagonists of this perilous ascent. The Twitter account of the Paris police headquarters, in particular, made no mention of it.

A precedent last March

Last March, Alexis Landot, a young Parisian of 21, had climbed the Montparnasse Tower, 209 meters high, with his bare hands and without any protection.

Alain Robert, the “French Spiderman”, is world famous for his spectacular climbs. He knows the Montparnasse tower well, having climbed it three times.

This Thursday evening, however, nothing allowed to say that the two climbers seen could be them. Their social networks did not refer to it either.
