Bride’s brother Kamran Wasi says that his two sisters Dolly and Gauri got married on the same day, after the marriage ceremony, Gauri went to her in-laws but Dolly’s groom Muhammad Asif got angry after not seeing the car in the dowry.
The groom’s family said that Dolly’s parents had promised Asif a car as dowry among other things, demanding that Dolly’s family should buy the car on the spot or pay Rs 5 lakh instead. .
The bride’s family said that they would not arrange for a car or dowry at such a short notice, so Asif divorced the bride and left the marriage hall with his family.
On the complaint of Kamran Wasi, a case has been registered against the groom Asif and six other people, the bride’s brother appealed that the persons named in the case should be arrested.
