Twins beat Orioles; Jorge Polanco achieves a tie with a home run

Jorge Polanco homered to tie the game, José Miranda singled out the game and the Minnesota Twins rallied from two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 on Saturday.

A day after Byron Buxton hit a ninth-inning, two-run homer off Jorge Lopez for a 3-2 victory, Minnesota came from behind once again.

Polanco led off the ninth inning with a home run off Lopez (4-4) that made it 3-3. Alex Kirilloff doubled with one out, Gary Sanchez singled and Miranda followed with another single for the win.

Minnesota starter Sonny Gray pitched five innings, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks.

Jharel Cotton pitched three innings in relief and Emilio Pagán (4-4) worked the ninth inning.

For the Twins, the Venezuelan Luis Arráez 4-2. Puerto Ricans Carlos Correa 3-0, one produced, and José Miranda 1-1, one RBI. Dominicans Jorge Polanco 4-1, one run scored, one RBI; Gary Sánchez 4-1 and Gilberto Celestino 0-0, one scored. Colombian Gio Urshela 3-2.

For the Orioles, Venezuelans Anthony Santander 4-1, one scored, one produced; Rougned Odor 4-1, a run scored, and Robinson Chirinos 3-0. The Dominican Jorge Mateo 2-0, an RBI.
