Turkey Elections: Chairman of the National Party, Muharram Ince, withdraws from the race for the presidential elections

The presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey will be held on May 14. Before that, the chairman of the State Party, Muharram Inje, withdrew from the race for the presidential elections. Recep Tayyip Erdogan called it regrettable.

In Turkey on May 14, 36 parties will be in the field for the presidential elections and 28 for the parliamentary elections.

Among the strong candidates for the presidency are the 16-year-old President Tayyip Erdoğan of the Jumhur Etihad, the 14-year-old Kamal Kalichdar of the Millat Etihad and the fifty-five-year-old Osinan Oghan of the Ata Etihad.

Yesterday, the Chairman of the National Party, Muharram Inje, announced his resignation from the chair of the presidency.

On May 14, voting will continue from 8 am to 5 pm. According to the Supreme Election Commission, sixty-four million voters will exercise their right to vote. All entertainment venues will also be closed on Election Day.

Earlier, on April 27, 18,17,000 Turkish citizens living in seventy-three countries voted. Their counting will be done after the election is completed under the supervision of the Directorate of Foreign Provincial Election Council.
