Trump Urges Netanyahu to Continue Attacking Iran Despite Some US Resistance

US President Donald Trump has revealed he’s in daily contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him to continue military operations against Iran. Trump made the comments during a press conference at the White House, where he also acknowledged that some of his supporters are against the US getting involved in another war.

Trump expressed his sympathy for Netanyahu, who he believes is being treated unfairly in his own country. This is likely a reference to the ongoing legal battles Netanyahu is facing in Israel. When asked if he had promised Netanyahu that the US would provide greater support for Israel’s actions, Trump responded with a simple “no”.

The US President noted that Netanyahu is a good leader who has done a lot, but is being held back by “nonsense” in his own country. Trump also recognized that not all of his supporters agree with the idea of the US military getting involved in the conflict with Iran. He admitted that some people are unhappy with the situation, but others are pleased with the developments.

When pressed about the concerns among his supporters that the US could be drawn into a long and drawn-out war, Trump emphasized that Israel cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons. He stated that he has been saying this for 20 years, and it’s not about short-term or long-term thinking.

Earlier, Republican Senator Tim Burchett from Tennessee told reporters that he wants the US to have as little involvement as possible in the conflict. “We don’t want another endless war in the Middle East,” he said.

According to CNN, the situation in the Middle East continues to escalate, with tensions between Israel and Iran showing no signs of easing. The US has been providing support to Israel, but the extent of its involvement remains unclear.
