Trump says Rudy Giuliani tested positive for novel coronavirus

US President Donald Trump today announced that his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani tested positive for covid-19 after weeks of traveling across the country to challenge US presidential elections results and attend meetings without wearing a mask.

“Rudy Giuliani, by far the greatest mayor in the history of NYC, and who has been working tirelessly exposing the most corrupt election (by far!) in the history of the USA, has tested positive for the China Virus.” wrote Donald Trump on the network social Twitter.

In the same post, the President of the United States wished his lawyer quick improvements.

“Get better soon Rudy, we will carry on!!!”, he wrote.

Giuliani appeared on Fox News earlier today to talk about his lawsuits in various states in favor of Donald Trump.

The United States has recorded 2,527 deaths and 229,859 infected with the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, a new daily record of cases, according to the independent count from Johns Hopkins University.

With this toll, the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic in the country increased to 281,121 and that of cases to 14,567,529.

The number of deaths exceeds initial estimates by the White House, which projected between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths.
