Trump is resuming his campaign and trying to capitalize on his third indictment

Washington.- Former US President Donald Trump resumed his presidential campaign on Friday with a speech in the state of Alabama in which he attempted to gain political recognition for his third indictment.

“Many of these cases (…) could have been filed two and a half years ago. But they didn’t want to file the lawsuit two and a half years ago, they wanted to wait. (…) And they waited until “I’ve become the dominant force in the polls because we dominate them all,” the Republican said to a cheering audience.

Trump joked that he rises in the polls every time he is impeached and said he only needs a fourth indictment to decide the 2024 election.

The former president appears unbeatable in his bid to win the Republican nomination for the 2024 election, in which he hopes to face off against current President Joe Biden, who leads all polls of voting intentions for the conservative primary stands.

Trump has focused much of his criticism on Biden and his family, reiterating in his speeches a number of corruption allegations that are already common and pledging again that if he takes power, he will order an investigation into the Democrat.

“He’s a corrupt, incompetent thief and he shouldn’t be allowed to be president,” he said, further accusing some Republicans of being “weak assholes.”

Speaking just over 24 hours after appearing in a Washington, DC courthouse, Trump was accused of attempting to reverse the outcome of the 2020 election he lost to Biden and the attack on the Capitol in the year to have instigated in 2021.

It is the third indictment against the ex-president in just a few months: in March he was indicted in New York on 34 counts of falsifying commercial records for payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels to cover up her “affair”. courts in Miami, Fla., on 37 federal charges for keeping and hiding classified documents in his home.
