Trump Honors Kobe Bryant with Statue in National Garden of American Heroes

Donald Trump, the new president of the United States, has made a significant announcement – Kobe Bryant and Muhammad Ali will be honored with statues in the National Garden of American Heroes. This move is part of a larger effort to pay tribute to historically significant Americans who have made a lasting impact in various fields, including science, civil rights, justice, art, and sports.

The National Garden of American Heroes, which will be located in Washington, aims to celebrate the achievements of remarkable individuals who have shaped the country’s history. As Trump noted, the list of honorees already includes iconic figures like Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali, and Kobe Bryant – “people love Kobe Bryant,” he emphasized. The president also hinted that the next athlete to be immortalized in the garden will be his friend, Tiger Woods.

The National Garden of American Heroes: A Tribute to Greatness

The National Garden of American Heroes will feature around 200 statues of influential Americans, including Rosa Parks, Neil Armstrong, Jackie Robinson, John F. Kennedy, Aretha Franklin, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr., Frederick Douglass, Billie Holiday, and Coretta Scott King, among others. While the exact location of the project has not been determined yet, Trump has expressed his desire to accelerate the development process.

A Project Revived

It’s worth noting that Trump initially signed an executive order to create the National Garden of American Heroes in 2020. However, the project was put on hold after a change of administration, and its fate remained uncertain. With Trump’s renewed commitment to the project, it will be interesting to see how the National Garden of American Heroes takes shape and becomes a reality.
