Trump Blasts Time Cover Photo as ‘Worst Ever,’ Citing ‘Disappearing Hair’

Former President Donald Trump publicly criticized a new Time magazine cover featuring him, taking issue with the photographic depiction of his hair despite acknowledging the accompanying article praised his diplomatic achievements.

Trump shared his disapproval on Truth Social, stating, “They made my hair disappear,” and calling the photo potentially “the worst of all time.” He specified his dislike for photos taken from below.

The former president elaborated on the visual, noting, “They made my hair disappear and put something floating on top of my head that looked like a crown, but extremely small. Very strange.” He questioned the magazine’s intentions behind the image.

The Time cover story, titled “His Triumph,” was intended to commend Trump’s alleged role in securing peace in the Gaza Strip. His dissatisfaction with the cover image contrasts sharply with his admission that the article itself was “relatively good.”

The photograph depicts Trump in a blue suit, white shirt, and red tie, a combination often seen as alluding to the U.S. flag. The upper part of his hair appears blurred due to lighting effects, according to the former president’s assessment.

Public reaction on social media to Trump’s purported diplomatic achievement was divided. While some users praised him for allegedly helping Israeli hostages return, others called for a boycott of Time magazine. One user posted, “I unfollowed. Are you serious, Time?”

Trump has frequently expressed interest in being featured on the cover of Time. He has appeared on the magazine’s cover four times in the last year alone. He was also named Time’s Person of the Year twice, in 2016 and 2024.
