Trump Blames Zelensky for Starting Ukraine War, Criticizes Putin and Biden’s Role

The war in Ukraine has claimed countless lives, and according to Donald Trump, three people are to blame. Vladimir Putin, the Russian leader, Joe Biden, the US president, and Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s president, all share the responsibility, Trump said in a statement.

Trump’s comments came during a discussion with reporters. When asked about Zelensky’s leadership, Trump criticized his decision to engage in conflict with Russia. “If you’re going to start a war, you better be sure you can win,” Trump said. Fighting someone 20 times your size without proper backup is not a winning strategy, he added.

Trump believes Biden and Zelensky have the power to stop the war. Putin, too, should have thought twice before starting it. “Everyone’s at fault,” Trump concluded.

The Ukraine conflict has now entered its fourth year. Estimates suggest hundreds of thousands of casualties on both sides, although the exact numbers vary. Recent attacks on the Ukrainian city of Sumy have left 35 dead and 117 injured. Russia claims it targeted a Ukrainian military meeting, killing 60 soldiers, but hasn’t provided evidence to support this claim. Trump described the incident as “terrible” and suggested Russia made a mistake, but didn’t elaborate.
