TRP Week 29: Anupama Tops Ratings Despite Tulsi’s Comeback

The television world just got a dose of nostalgia. After 25 years, the iconic character Tulsi made her grand return. Smriti Irani, reprising her role in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2,’ created quite a stir on the small screen.

With all this excitement, everyone wondered about the latest ratings. The 29th week TRP list is out, and it holds some surprises. Many thought ‘Anupamaa,’ the current fan favorite, might finally see its popularity drop. Rumors flew that Rupali Ganguly’s hit show would lose its top spot because of the classic comeback.

But hold on to your remote controls! ‘Anupamaa’ has once again claimed the number one position. It seems the new buzz couldn’t quite knock it off its throne.

Why ‘Anupamaa’ Is Still a Hit

What’s the secret behind ‘Anupamaa’s’ continued success? Right now, viewers are completely invested in the mother-daughter drama. The tensions between the lead character, Anupamaa, and her daughter are keeping everyone glued. This compelling storyline helped the show achieve a strong 2.3 TRP rating this week.

The Runners-Up

Meanwhile, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ landed in the second spot. This show has been entertaining audiences for about 16 years. It scored a 2.1 TRP this time. Interestingly, just last week, this long-running drama was sitting comfortably at the very top.

Comedy Shows Make Their Mark

It’s not all intense family drama, though. The 29th-week TRP list also features some laughter. The popular comedy ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ grabbed the third spot with a 1.9 TRP. Another comic show, ‘Laughter Chef 2,’ also made it big, securing fourth place with the same 1.9 TRP.

Finally, the series ‘Udne Ki Aasha’ secured the fifth position. It managed a respectable 1.7 TRP rating. So, while old favorites make a splash, it’s clear new stories and laughter are still very much in demand!
