The concert by American rapper Travis Scott in Mumbai on November 19 was marred by significant thefts. Fans attending the event at Mahalaxmi Racecourse reported the loss of valuable items.
Criminals exploited the large crowd, stealing mobile phones and gold chains. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated at over 1.8 million Indian Rupees, approximately $21,600.
Mumbai police confirmed reports of extensive theft, with concert-goers reporting missing valuables. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incidents.
So far, 24 mobile phones and 12 gold chains have been reported stolen. Their combined value exceeds $21,600.
Victims filed reports at a local police station following the concert. A case has been registered against unknown individuals under sections 303 (2) and 304 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the concert’s entrance. The goal is to identify and apprehend those responsible and recover the stolen property.
Travis Scott’s Mumbai performance was part of his Circus Maximus Tour. He had also performed in Delhi earlier in November.
