Travis Kelce was met with boos from Buffalo Bills fans during halftime of the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent game. The AFC matchup took place at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo on Sunday, November 2.
Kelce, 36, reacted to the crowd by putting his hand to his ear, nodding, and reportedly stating, "I love it, I love it." This interaction was captured by cameras covering the game.
The mood likely soured for Kelce after the game, which saw the Bills defeat the Chiefs 28-21. This loss dropped Kansas City to a 5-4 record. The team is currently outside of the AFC playoff qualification zone as they head into their bye week.
Kelce recorded four receptions for 66 yards during the game but did not score a touchdown. His next touchdown catch will set a new Kansas City franchise record for receiving touchdowns, surpassing Priest Holmes.
The Kelce family has faced less than favorable receptions in Buffalo over recent years. This sentiment was shared by Adam Lefkoe, a TNT Sports host and friend of the family.
Lefkoe, 38, revealed on a November 2024 episode of Up & Adams that the experience in Buffalo was not positive for anyone involved. He spoke of a prior January 2024 game between the Chiefs and Bills in Buffalo.
During that January 2024 game, Travis’s brother, Jason Kelce, became a viral sensation for removing his shirt and chugging beer. Taylor Swift, Travis’s fiancée, also attended this game.
Lefkoe implied that Swift’s experience on that game day in Buffalo was also unpleasant. He noted the "unrelenting attitude" of the Bills Mafia caught the family by surprise.
Jason Kelce, 38, addressed these past experiences on a November 2024 episode of the "New Heights" podcast. He spoke about the Chiefs’ return to Buffalo for the recent game.
"I will not be shirtless this time," Jason stated on the podcast. He added, "I will be watching the game from somewhere comfortable."

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes commented on the team’s current difficulties. He admitted the team has much work ahead of them.
Mahomes told reporters after the recent Bills loss that the team has seen "great moments and bad moments." He stressed the need for more team consistency, including his own.
He acknowledged the Chiefs have been in many close games historically but are not winning them now. Mahomes urged the team to "learn fast" from their losses.

The Chiefs will return to action on Sunday, November 16, following their bye week. They are scheduled to travel to Denver to play the Broncos.
