Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell Win Big at Cricket Australia Awards Ceremony

The Australian Cricket Board, Cricket Australia, held an award ceremony on Monday, 3 February. The ceremony honored players who performed exceptionally well in Australian cricket over the past year. Travis Head received the prestigious Alan Border Medal, while Adam Zampa was awarded the Men’s T20 International Player of the Year Award. Additionally, Glenn Maxwell, a talented all-rounder, was recognized for his recent debut.

Travis Head was named the Men’s ODI Player of the Year, having scored 252 runs in 5 innings with an average of 63 last year, including a remarkable 154-run innings. Adam Zampa took the most T20 wickets for Australia in 2024, with 35 wickets in 21 T20 matches. Josh Hazlewood, who took 35 wickets in 7 Tests last year, was awarded the Men’s Test Player of the Year.

Ashley Gardner and Beth Mooney were honored as the Best Women’s Players of the Year in ODI and T20, respectively. Glenn Maxwell and Cooper Connolly were jointly voted the BBL Player of the Tournament, while Alice Perry won the Player of the Tournament Award in the Women’s Big Bash League.
