The film franchise transformers revolves around the protection of the Earth by the Autobots, this is how they arrived for the first time, following the AllSpark and of Megatron. Hasbro’s iconic action figures became the centerpiece of a huge franchise in 2007 with the launch of the first movie transformers carried out by Michael Bay. The latter directed the first five films before Paramount gave a new direction to its flagship franchise. Bumblebee allowed to reboot the continuity in 2018 with un film that changed the origin and history of the Autobots compared to what films under the hood Michael Bay have explored.
Although there are now two timelines concerning the arrival of the Autobots on earth, the theme has remained mainly the same: the alliance with humans for the protection of Earth against the Decepticons. With two distinct new timelines, one from Michael Bay, and one from Bumblebee, here is the origins of the Transformers on earth.
Michael Bay Chronology: Arrival of the Transformers in – 17,000 BC

The first Transformers arrived on Earth in 17,000 BC. in the barrel of Michael Bay. His movies transformers have constantly changed the story of the presence of robots in the history of mankind, which has led to many flashbacks and huge gaps in the plot. Transformers: Revenge officially reveals the date of the arrival of the Transformers on Earth. The film opens with a flashback to 17,000 BC, when the Dynasty of Primes arrived on Earth. Their mission was to piece together the AllSpark until they discovered life on Earth. There, they changed their plan and protected the human species from their fellows.
Although the Transformers arrived on Earth more than 19,000 years before the main events of the films of Michael Bay, their presence in the universe has remained a mystery for thousands of years. The AllSpark crashed into the planet 10,000 years before our era. Megatron found its way to Earth a few thousand years later, but it was not discovered by humans until 1897 by Archibald Witwicky, Sam’s great-grandfather. Films 4 and 5 revealed that the Autobots had a much larger presence in human history, as some of them were members of King Arthur’s Round Table. At the end of Transformers: The Last Knight, we learn that Unicron is born from Earth.
Bumblebee’s new timeline The first Transformers arrived in 1987

The story of transformers on Earth becomes much easier to follow in the new timeline established by Bumblebee. The film explains that Bumblebee was the first Transformer to arrive on Earth when he traveled there in 1987. He is sent to Earth by Optimus Primewho chose it as a new home for the Autobots after the fall of Cybertron. The film does not mention the presence of other Transformers on Earth before this date.
It is possible, even likely, that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts changes the duration of the presence of the Transformers on Earth in Bumblebee’s timeline. The film is set seven years later and introduces the Maximums. It is very likely that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts reveals that the Maximums have a history on Earth long before the arrival of Bumblebee in 1987. If so, this will once again change the date of the Transformers’ arrival on Earth in the canon of Transformers movies.
