Along with the film series transformers in real shots, Transformers One will expand the franchise by telling the story of Cyberton,Optimus Prime and his sworn enemy Megatron. The film will be directed by Josh Cooley, the screenwriter of Toy Story 4and written by Andrew Barrer, of Ant Man and the Wasp. The prequel is very different from other films in the franchise.
Although Transformers One is still in the production phase, many details about the film have been revealed thanks to scoops on the film set and official announcements. Most of the story is kept under wraps, but it seems to draw heavily from the original story that’s been featured in the TV adaptations and comic books. Transformers One is chronologically the first film in the Transformers series, so there’s a lot of pressure to deliver an original and exciting story for these characters.
Towards a new Transformers trilogy

Although much of the production of Transformers One remained very secret, the latest news comes to us from the producer of the franchise, Lorenzo di Bonaventure. Addressing JoBlo, he implied that Transformers One would mark the beginning of a possible trilogy of animated prequels in the universe of transformers :
“We hope there will be enough emotions for this to result in a trilogy, because personally I think there is a natural trilogy (…) you are going to see Cybertron like you have never seen it before. , and like no one has ever seen before. If so, the Transformers universe could soon look very different.

Transformers One was initially announcement in 2015 as a film exploring the origins of Cybertron, ofOptimus Prime and of Megatron, totally separate from the live action film series. In April 2020, Josh Cooley was hired to direct the animated film.
In addition to the announcement of transformers One, the eighth transformers movie was announced in February 2022, Paramount Pictures also revealing that a ninth installment would follow. The decision to officially announce the two projects at the same time proves that Michael Bay and the studio are confident in their work and that there is a clear plan for the future of the series. Fully animated, these prequels are a sea change for the franchise, but it looks like that’s the direction transformers in the near future.

While Transformers One Originally slated for release in 2024, the film has since been pushed back by Paramount Pictures at mid-sSeptember 2024. The reasons for this change are not entirely clear, but the multiple delays in Rise of the Beasts probably had a collateral effect on the saga. This movie clearly required more attention in the post-production phase than the studio originally anticipated, and that extra time likely reduced production by Transformers One also.

The cast of Transformers One is filled with more than recognizable names, including some of the most popular actors of our time. As the film is fully animated, many classic transformers have been completely recast.
