ANKARA: Twelve refugees have died of freezing temperatures on the Turkish-Greek border.

According to details, 12 Turkish migrants died of freezing temperatures on the Greek border, the Turkish Interior Ministry said, adding that the migrants were pushed out of the border by Greek authorities.

The number of migrants deported from the border was 22, of whom 12 were unlucky enough to withstand the severe cold weather and lost their lives.

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Wednesday that Turkish authorities had found the bodies of 12 migrants frozen to death near Greece, who had been pushed across the border by Greek guards without shoes. The Turkish Interior Minister did not reveal the nationality of the immigrants.
