According to the newspaper Sport, the Tottenham has reached an agreement with FC Barcelona for the transfer of Clement Lenglet for the next season. The Frenchman became the fourth loss of the Barça team after the departures of Dani Alves, Adama Traoré and Luuk de Jong.
The London team will pay 7 million euros of Clement Lenglet’s contract, while FC Barcelona will pay the other five million euros. The Blaugrana team expected Tottenham to pay 100% of the player’s salary, but they have not accepted this proposal. The departure of Lenglet, together with the imminent transfer of Samuel Umtiti, opens the door to the arrival of more central defenders.
