Torino Email Blunder Collapses Saba Sazonov Getafe Transfer

It has been a full week since the transfer window slammed shut. Still, unbelievable stories keep surfacing about what happened in those frantic final hours. The latest comes from Spain, and it’s a real head-scratcher.

Georgian international Saba Sazonov was all set for a big move. He had an agreement with Getafe and was ready to pack his bags for Spain. But then, Torino, his current club, made an astonishing mistake. They sent the crucial transfer paperwork to the wrong email address. By the time the Italian club realized their error and fixed it, the clock had simply run out. Getafe didn’t have enough time to register the 23-year-old central defender. Just like that, the entire transfer collapsed.

Sazonov’s father was quoted by the newspaper ‘Marca’, sharing his frustration. “The only reason his move to Getafe didn’t happen was because Torino put the wrong email,” he explained. “They were the ones who put it in. Everything else was agreed upon.” It’s a harsh reminder that sometimes, even in professional sports, the simplest blunders can crush a player’s dreams.
