America says that Russia cannot win in Ukraine and Moscow sees a long war ahead.
Top US military officials have said that Russia will not achieve a military victory in Ukraine and that Kiev’s forces are unlikely to withdraw all Russian troops from its territory in the near future.
The chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said that this war, militarily, is not going to be won by Russia and it will never happen.
Gen. Mark Milley spoke to reporters at the end of a virtual meeting of dozens of countries that are members of Ukraine’s Defense Coordination Group, also known as Ramstein.
He said that Russia’s main strategic objective is to overthrow the government, which cannot be achieved militarily. The fighting will continue. will negotiate or they will reach a military conclusion.
