Top 3 tips for novice bitcoin investors and traders

Starting to invest or trade can be very overwhelming. There is so much information that I can imagine not knowing where to start. So today I want to give you my top three tips on investing in stocks and crypto for beginners.

A lot of people get in without thinking about it and without doing any research. Researching stocks and cryptocurrencies is very important and this can be done in many different ways. It’s also important to make a plan and stick to it. For example, determine in advance that you will use 2/3 of your portfolio to invest for the long term and use the other part to swing trading. So think in advance what you actually want to do. Do you want to invest a monthly amount and not have to worry about your investments? Do you want an active day trader or swing trader become? What do you want exactly? Also think realistically about how much time you have to delve into investing. Going day trading when you only have half an hour a day is not useful, for example.

Build a plan, manage risk and do your own research

It is important not only to make a plan, but also to think about how much risk you can and want to take. We should always keep in mind that our investments could become worthless. By thinking in advance about how much money we can spare, we can save ourselves a lot of stress. So don’t invest more money than you can afford to lose. Another important point with regard to risk management is diversification. By spreading your investment portfolio well, you reduce the chance that your entire portfolio loses its value. A good diversification ensures that if one part of your portfolio falls, there are plenty of other parts that can absorb this blow. It is important to know where exactly you are getting in. Don’t just follow someone else’s advice. Learn how to do your own research and do it. I do my own research using the FUPITA method. This stands for fundamental, financial and technical analysis.

I myself dived into the world of crypto at the end of 2019 and have also delved more into equities from the beginning of 2020. I have now found my life mission: a financially healthy life for everyone. At my English- and Dutch I make videos about crypto and stocks under the name ‘Nesami’ on YouTube channels, using my FUPITA method: fundamental, financial and technical analysis. When it comes to crypto, I follow the latest developments in bitcoin, altcoins and NFTs. Are you curious how I can help you with investing in crypto and stocks?
