Tono Campos and Diego Romero, world champions

Spanish canoeists Manuel Antonio Campos and Diego Romero revalidated this Sunday in Baskov (Romania) the title of marathon world champions in category C2. Galician paddlers already won gold in this same event two years ago in China and they are also European champions.

Also as in 2019, runners-up were the Poles Mateusz Borgiel and Mateusz Zuchora, 9.93 seconds behind the time set by the Spaniards, 1h56: 34.95 after the 26.20 km route, with six runs. Hungary completed the podium again, this time with Marton Kover and Marton Horvath, 36.85 behind the winners. The other participating Spanish couple, the one formed by José Sánchez and Óscar Grana, entered fifth at 3: 55.83.
