A familiar sight is unfolding at Tondela. Another season approaches, bringing a new face to the field. Remy Vita is set to join the club for the next year. His arrival was confirmed by Fortuna Sittard, a team from Holland.
Vita’s signing, though exciting, creates a tight spot for Tondela. The team now has three players who naturally play as left-backs. This could cause a good problem for the coach, Ivo Vieira.
Vieira already has two left-backs from last season. Nor Maviram and Talocha both stayed with the team. They even played together in the starting lineup sometimes. Under the old coach, Luís Pinto, Talocha would occasionally move into the central defense. This helped make space for both players on the field.
But things are changing with coach Vieira in charge. He plans to use a 4-3-3 formation. This new setup means Talocha likely won’t play as a central defender anymore. With three strong left-back options and only one spot, someone might find themselves on the bench. It’s a puzzle for the coach to solve as the new season draws near.
