Tom Holland was close to burnout after having successively shot Uncharted then No Way Home

Tom Holland is one of the most sought-after young actors in Hollywood today. It is truly the embodiment of his new iteration of Peter Parker from 2016 in Captain America: Civil War which blew it into the public eye. Since then, the young actor has been starring in Hollywood blockbusters before achieving his ultimate consecration with Spider-Man: No Way Home that smashed the box office ($1.7 billion in international receipts). This newfound fame prompted sony to recruit him to embody a young Nathan Drake in the movie Uncharted of Ruben Fleischer.

This project is in the small papers ofHollywood for almost ten years. The director of Venom took care of putting it in a box while a large number of filmmakers have leaned on it before him. The main shoot ofUncharted started in March 2020 before being interrupted for several months by the covid-19 pandemic. Tom Holland then completed his scenes in October 2020 before immediately continuing the filming of Spider-Man: No Way Home. A difficult situation that made him close to burnout, to the point of asking Sony for a break, as he revealed to the HollywoodReporter :

” On Uncharted, there was a point where I had to make the call and say, ‘Guys, I’m going to need a weekend because otherwise I’m going to kind of crumble. I had a pretty nasty tendonitis in my hamstrings, which held me back a bit, but luckily it was more towards the end of filming. But the studio was fantastic. They were incredibly helpful. They understood and recognized how hard I worked, and they gave me the time off I needed. ยป

Uncharted will be released in French theaters on February 16, 2022.
