The hosts of NBC’s Today show showcased their elaborate Halloween 2025 costumes, continuing a cherished annual tradition.
Savannah Guthrie, 53, appeared as Miranda Priestly, the fictional editor from The Devil Wears Prada. Jenna Bush Hager, 43, took on the role of Anna Wintour, widely considered the inspiration for Priestly’s character.
Craig Melvin, 46, transformed into music icon Prince. Willie Geist embodied Wayne Newton, while Sheinelle Jones channeled Beyoncé for the festive broadcast.
The Today show’s Halloween costume tradition began in 1994. It has since become a highly anticipated event each year.
Last year, for Halloween 2024, the hosts embraced a "VHS rewind" theme. This celebrated major hits from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.
Memorable 2024 costumes included Al Roker, 71, and Dylan Dreyer as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz. Jenna Bush Hager, 43, and Hoda Kotb, 61, dressed as Rose and Jack from Titanic.
Other 2024 pairings featured Carson Daly and Sheinelle Jones as Austin Powers and Foxxy Cleopatra. Savannah Guthrie, 53, was Elle Woods, and Craig Melvin, 46, portrayed Axel F. Foley.
Willie Geist appeared as Ron Burgundy. Peter Alexander became Mrs. Doubtfire, and Laura Jarrett dressed as Isis from Bring It On.
Kotb and Bush Hager’s Titanic costumes in 2024 carried special significance. Kotb was celebrating her final Today Halloween episode before her departure in January.
"Hoda just announced she’s leaving and it broke my heart, and yet life will go on," Bush Hager shared with Today.com in October 2024.
Kotb agreed that their joint costume was a fitting choice as she prepared to exit her role.
"I’ve played all these strange characters over the years," Kotb explained. "I was Yoda. I was Cher, I was an acrobat, I was Elton [John], which still scares my daughters. So I thought, ‘What should I be?’ Something pretty, ethereal. Then I said, ‘No, I’m going to be Jack from Titanic.’"
Kotb added, "I think it’s a great way to say goodbye. Jenna and I embracing."
