TNT error goes viral in Celtics win over Miami

The incredible ending to Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals was somewhat confusing.

Marcus Smart he missed a 3-point shot in the closing seconds and it looked like the Miami Heat were getting a ticket to the NBA Finals.

But Derrick White I had other plans.

White not only got the offensive rebound, but with 0.1 seconds left on the clock, hit an improbable layup that gave the boston celtics the 104-103 win to tie the series 3-3 and force a Game 7 at TD Garden.

Not only the fans at the Kaseya Center in Miami, but the millions of viewers were confused. It wasn’t until the television showed the replay that we all realized White’s shot had beaten the final buzzer and the Celtics were still alive.

Among those confused, we must include those responsible for the graphics of TNT.

At the horn, the television network showed the “final score” of the game, with Miami winning 103-102 and included the phrase “MIA wins the Series 4-2.” Too soon.

The referees reviewed the play, validated White’s basket and confirmed Boston’s victory.

The photo of that chart immediately began circulating on social media and has beengo viral.

Celtics, for the unimaginable

After losing the first three games of the series, the Celtics became the fourth team to force a Game 7 in NBA playoff history. At the moment, teams that have trailed 0-3 in a postseason series are 0-150.

If Boston wins Game 7 of the series at home, the TNT blunder is likely to become something of a charm for the Celtics or a curse for the Heat.

Game 7 is scheduled for this Monday at 8:30 pm ET.
