Tito Rabat returns to Superbike

The Superbike World Championship lands this weekend in the Emilia-Romagna region with a change in its starting grid. Tito Rabat returns to competition, already known from the paddock after his time in the championship in 2021 and 2022. The Spaniard will compete until the end of the year with Kawasaki Puccett Racing, who gives him a new opportunity in WorldSBK to replace Tom Sykes. The Briton left the ranks of his team due to lack of results, to join the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team on a temporary basis shortly after announcing his departure from the Japanese team. “I am happy to return to the Puccetti team and to Kawasaki”, commented the 2014 Moto2 champion, who currently competes full time in the MotoE World Championship, in addition to combining with ESBK appointments, where he has already added two victories last April in Aragon.

“This is a great opportunity, to return to WorldSBK and keep up the racing rhythm, because this year I am competing in MotoE where there are not so many races. I will try to make the most of this opportunity and help Manuel Puccetti’s team as they continue to develop their bike. I want to have fun and do my best, but also complete all the races to collect as much data as possible”, adds the Spaniard, happy for his return to the Superbike World Championship and that, for the third time in his career, he is from the hand of Kawasaki Puccetti Racing.

The Team Manager, Manuel Puccetti, He also expressed his joy at having him back: “I am pleased to announce the return of Tito Rabat to our team. In both 2021 and 2022, the Spaniard was given the task of replacing an injured rider, which is never easy, and he raced without having tested the bike, without knowing it. Despite this, Tito always proved to be a great professional, with a lot of experience in both Moto2 and MotoGP™. It will be a pleasure to have him back in the team for our home round in Misano, where our objective will be to continue developing the bike and try to improve the results obtained so far”. Since his debut in the team, after his brief stint with the Barni Spark Racing Team, Rabat’s best result was an eleventh place, during the first race at the San Juan Villicum Circuit, in 2021.
