Tite says goodbye to Brazil: I am at peace with me, it is the end of the cycle

Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, ‘Tite’, coach of Brazil, who lost for the second consecutive time in a World Cup before the semifinals, confirmed at a press conference that he is ending his cycle at the helm of Canarinha.

"It’s a painful defeat, but I’m at peace with myself and it’s the end of the cycle"commented Tite, who recalled that he had already said it more than a year and a half ago: "I’m not a two word guy".

"I wasn’t playing to win and then making drama to stay, who knows me knows that"declared the Brazilian coach, who pointed out that "everything was a process, the previous (World) Cup was a process of recovery of the formation of the team and now it has had a whole stage".

He justified his quick exit from the pitch after the round because he is not used to staying on the field: "I’m a more reserved guy. Neither in victory nor in defeat. Have you seen me celebrate other times when we win? It’s a bit of style. But I’m sure you know how proud I am of the work done, of the commitment, that’s for sure.".

About how his time at the helm of Canarinha has been, Tite said that "time will answer". "I am not in a position to evaluate all the work done. In time it will be done. I don’t have that ability now after a deletion"indicated.

He explained that Neymar was going to take the fifth and last penalty (he didn’t do it) because it’s "the player who has more quality and mentality and knows how to handle pressure better" and considered that Croatia’s draw, shortly before the end of extra time, was not due to a disorganization of his team.

"I do not agree with the disorganization. We were in an offensive action, putting men in front, and the play was broken. In that coming and going, a ball went to the other side, they managed to react and close the center, but the ball came back, finished off the player, grazed the defense and entered"indicated.
