Licenses That Must Be Renewed in 2025
In Mexico City, the following licenses must be renewed in 2025:
- Type A license: For drivers of private vehicles, compact vehicles, sedans, and vans.
- Type B license: For drivers of low and high displacement motorcycles.
- Type A Permanent License: Permanent license for drivers of private cars, compact cars, sedans, and trucks.
- Type A2 license: For drivers who drive both private vehicles and motorcycles.
- Card B license for taxis: Special permit for those who work as taxi drivers.
- Card License C: For the transportation of passengers.
- Card D License: For those who drive freight vehicles.
- E Card License: For specialized cargo transportation.
Renewing the Type E License
The Type E license, which expires every two or three years, requires the following documents to be renewed:
- Official and current identification.
- Proof of address less than 3 months old.
- CURP and possibly a birth certificate.
- Completed TSEMOVI_ST_ERR_6_1 format.
- Medical examination results.
- Proof of studies.
- Payment of the procedure fee (1,888 pesos for a 2-year validity or 2,836 pesos for a 3-year validity).
