TikTok Shop’s logistics services for retailers and brands are now live in Europe as of March 31. This launch aims to simplify cross-border e-commerce and enable sellers to manage orders efficiently.
The company says its new services will help TikTok Shop sellers scale faster and reach more customers. At the heart of this expansion is the Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) model, where the platform handles the entire order processing, from storage to shipping.
Initially available in Germany and Spain, this solution lets retailers delegate logistics to the platform, avoiding the need to build their own shipping infrastructure. TikTok Shop has partnered with local logistics partners like DPD Germany and Seur to ensure efficient delivery.
Sellers will see faster delivery times, reduced operational complexity, and improved customer experience. The platform will also handle product returns through a 4PL model, provided packages meet set requirements.
Expanding Cross-Border Trade Capabilities
One key aspect of this launch is TikTok’s expanded EU-wide maritime transport capabilities. Sellers can now offer products in multiple EU countries, as long as they operate a registered store in the destination country. They can also create warehouse addresses in other EU countries without registering an additional store, as long as the order is placed through the country of origin.
TikTok Shop offers two shipping models for cross-border trade: one through the platform with integrated shipping providers and another where the seller handles processing, either in-house or through approved external providers.
The platform has set clear framework conditions for logistics partners, including weight and size restrictions that vary by country and delivery method. Returns will be standardized, with customers receiving return labels through the app and sellers able to organize return processes with external providers if needed.
This new solution aims to support small and medium-sized European retailers, making it easier to create a transnational sales infrastructure without significant investment.
