With TikTok Shop, users can now see a yellow shopping cart icon in the app, allowing them to purchase products directly from short videos and live broadcasts. Influencers can select and promote items sold in different TikTok stores, making it easier for brands to reach consumers. Currently, over 500,000 merchants sell on TikTok Shop, with the most successful categories being beauty, fashion, and food.

Requirements to Register in TikTok Shop

To register in TikTok Shop, stores and content creators must meet certain requirements.

Requirements for Stores

  1. TikTok Business account: You must have an active TikTok Business account.
  2. Legal documentation: Provide documents that verify the identity or eligibility of your business, such as tax records or valid business IDs in Spain.
  3. Bank account: Link a bank account to receive payments and process returns.
  4. Policy Compliance: Adhere to TikTok’s content and commerce policies.

Requirements for Content Creators

  1. Basic requirements: 2,000 followers, over 18 years old, account created in Spain, comply with community standards, and have published a video in the last 28 days.
  2. Recommended requirements: Create original, authentic content that connects with your community, show your face in the videos showing the real experience with the product, combine and integrate some sales videos into your usual content following your same style, and maintain or improve your engagement.
  3. Access request: Request access to TikTok Shop through the TikTok shop Creator Center from TikTok Studio.
