This video shows the Pixel 7 along with the current Pixel 6

The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro could be unveiled during the first week of October, perhaps October 6th, with reservations starting that same day and sales starting next week.

Unbox Therapy had access to some prototypes of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. While these aren’t retail versions of the phones, and the software isn’t what you’ll get with either phone (some of the software isn’t even available to run), the video shows the differences and similarities between the lineup. Pixel 6 and the Pixel 7 line.

Once again, the Pro version of the flagship of the Pixel lineup will sport a periscope telephoto lens that will give the premium variant three cameras (primary and ultra wide along with telephoto) versus the two you’ll find on the non-Pro model.

Like the Pixel 6 Pro, the Pixel 7 Pro will come with 12GB of memory, while the non-Pro model will be equipped with 8GB of RAM, like on Pixel 6.

Both devices will support wireless charging. The Pixel 7 Pro will not only feature a smaller hole in the front compared to the Pixel 7, but it will also have slimmer bezels.

Speaking of frames, the Pixel 7 will have thinner bezels than the Pixel 6 although the latter has the tallest screen. The Pixel 6 is 1.72mm wider than its successor and weighs 10 grams more.

The Pixel 7 Pro is 0.20mm thinner than the Pixel 6 Pro and the camera bump remains the same at 11.50mm. The new model is 0.78 mm wider and 1 gram heavier than its predecessor. The curved screen also appears to be less pronounced on the next model.

Unfortunately, there are a few things we still don’t know, including the battery size on the new models, whether the fingerprint sensor has been improved, and whether face unlock has been added to the Pixel 7 series.

If screen resolution differences remain, Pixel 7 Pro’s screen will be 1440p compared to Pixel 7’s 1080p. The Pro model should also allow users to save battery life by reducing the display to 1080p on demand.
