The IPL 2024 auction is over. All IPL teams have purchased 72 players in IPL 2024 for which all 10 teams have spent a total of Rs 230 crore and Rs 45 lakh. Now, just a day after the auction, an IPL team suffered a major setback. A player purchased at the auction is injured. This has increased the team’s problems.

Australia’s star player Ashton Turner was bought by Lucknow Super Giants team for Rs 1 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. But Turner got injured just a day after the IPL auction. This was a big blow for the Lucknow team. Perth Scorchers captain Ashton Turner was injured after bowling the first ball of his tenure against Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League match. The right knee injury worsened while bowling. He then left the field. This knee injury has been bothering him for some time. He will be tested in the evening after which it can be announced whether he can bat or not.

31-year-old Ashton Turner has played in the IPL before. He has played a total of 4 matches for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He has scored 192 runs in 9 ODI matches and 110 runs in 19 T20 matches for Australia. Furthermore, he has taken 2 wickets in ODI and 4 wickets in 19 T20 matches.

Lucknow Super Giants bought so many players in the auction

Lucknow Super Giants have bought a total of 6 players in the IPL 2024 auction. The team showered Shivam Mavi with money. Apart from Mavi, Lucknow has bought M Siddarth, David Willey, Ashton Turner, Arshin Kulkarni and Arshad Khan.
