Qualcomm may be working on a more efficient variant of its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip

Rumors are circulating that Qualcomm will once again honor the tradition of releasing an optimized version of its high-end chip. Apparently, the manufacturer is preparing to release a variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that now uses TSMC’s 4nm process technology.

Remember that the currently available Snapdragon 8 gen 1 uses Samsung’s four-nanometer process. As far as energy efficiency is concerned, the technology of the South Korean company is slightly inferior to that of TSMC, and that is why Qualcomm will now launch a new chip-optimized variant.

And it is that, according to the same sources, two brands are already preparing launches of smartphones equipped with the new version of the latest Qualcomm chip. Namely: Lenovo Halo and Xiaomi 12 Pro gaming.
