Pakistan Cricket Board in mood for action
A reliable source told PTI that some top officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board were unhappy with Haris’ attitude. Recently, Pakistan’s new chief selector Wahab Riaz confronted Haris and said that I and Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez spoke to him in detail and said that both the captain and the coach want him to play in Australia. We also assured him that he would not have to bowl more than 10-12 overs in a day. He further said that we also spoke to the team’s physiotherapist and coach and they said that Hafeez has no fitness issues and he will not face any issues in Australia either.
There may be a ban on playing in the Big Bash League
According to a source, there are talks that if Haris’ focus is only on white-ball cricket, the main contract given to him will be reviewed as he is in B grade and 40 lakh rupees per month, match fees, bonuses and ICC -Receipts also contain traces of PCBs. He said players in the top two tiers will have to play all formats. If he does not play, his NOC for participating in the Big Bash League may also be revoked.
