The Asia Cup 2023 starts on Wednesday 30th August. Team India will play their first game of the tournament against Pakistan on September 2nd. In this game, all eyes will be on the middle class of Team India. Shreyas Iyer, who has returned from injury, can be put in charge of the India squad’s number four.
Iyer plays fourth on the ODIs and appears to be in very good form. Iyer has batted fourth in 20 innings for ODI India so far, scoring two centuries and five half-centuries. Iyer has 805 runs in 20 innings with a 47.35 average. Iyer may prove to be a key hitter in the Asian Cup against Pakistan on September 2nd.
We would like to inform you that when India’s 2023 Asian Cup squad was announced, it was clarified that Iyer was declared fully fit by the National Cricket Academy. Iyer played his last game for India in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, played in February and March this year, after which he complained of back pain. Then, due to his injury, Iyer missed the finals of the 2023 IPL and World Test Championship.

He hit 666 runs in 16 innings of the Test with a 44.40 average, 1631 runs in 38 innings of the ODIs with a 46.60 average, and 1043 runs in 45 innings of the T20 International with a 30.67 average and batting average from 135.98. Iyer made his international debut for India in November 2017.
