Apple may be working on a product to improve integration between various products in your home ecosystem. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we’re talking about something that can combine the features of an Apple TV in a format similar to that of a HomePod.
This means it would be a similar product to offerings from Google and Amazon competitors such as the Google Nest Hub and the Amazon Acho Show. But fully integrated into the brand ecosystem.
As you can see from the shared concept, this would be immediately ideal for making FaceTime calls with your contacts. Depending on its format, it would also be plausible that it would allow you to consume video or play games, like you do on an Apple TV.
Obviously, there is no need to exclude features that we immediately associate with this product. We are talking about listening to music on compatible platforms like Apple Music or controlling your smart products with the Siri virtual assistant.
HomePod with screen could be a companion for Apple TV
Having this product at home with a built-in camera, it could immediately work as a complement to Apple TV. If it was close to the TV, it could be used as a camera and make the call on the bigger screen.
The source says that this particular product is still in an early stage of development. And it may surprise fans of the brand this year 2022. Still, as you know, Apple is not in the habit of launching products in a hurry, and the wait can be long.
As an Apple user, would you see advantages in having a product of this type at home? Do you think it can be a real alternative to Google and Amazon solutions? Give us your opinion in the comments.
