While many hit films have been made in Bollywood, there have also been major disaster films. Often, low-budget films dominate the box office, and sometimes big-budget films fail at the box office. Today we are telling you about one such film which was made at a very high cost but turned out to be a major disaster for Bollywood.
15 years ago, a similar film was released in theaters with a budget of 80 million rupees. Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta were part of the star cast of the film. This was the movie “Blue” released in 2009. Audiences waited for this film for a long time, but after its release, it was not well received in theaters. Despite a budget of Rs 80 crore and shooting abroad, the film failed at the box office.
‘Blue’ had grossed only Rs 52 crore at the domestic box office while it managed to gross only Rs 63 crore worldwide. It is therefore clear that the film could not even recoup its costs. After ‘Blue’, another name was added to Akshay Kumar’s flop list, although it didn’t have much of an impact on his career. But this film launched the career of another star, Zayed Khan.
Zayed Khan has appeared in many Hindi films. These include Shabd, Fight Club, Dus, Yuvraj, Chura Liya Hai Tumne. But after Blue turned out to be a disaster, none of the actor’s films could work and he stayed away from the film industry.
