Acting is also called the world of glamour, and once a person settles into this world, it becomes difficult for him to come out of it. But there is also an actor who, despite a successful acting career, said goodbye to this world, became a farmer and started farming. This actor lived in the village for five years and farmed and grew crops.
This actor is Rajesh Kumar, who left the world of glamor to become a farmer. Rajesh rose to fame with the role of Rosesh in Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai. He has also appeared in shows like Yam Kisi Se Kam Nahi, Neeli Chhatri Wale, Yeh Meri Family and now appeared in the recently released film Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. However, before that, Rajesh continued farming in Bihar for five years.
In an interview with Join Films, Rajesh said, “In 2017, I was at the peak of my acting career on television when I decided to start farming.” While I enjoyed watching television immensely, my heart kept wondering, apart from that I left behind a few entertainment tapes about what I would do for the next generation?
When asked if he would like to leave the world of glamor and take up the profession of a farmer, Rajesh said, “I have not done anything special or extra to contribute to society.” How will my children remember me? You acted for yourself, for your safety, for your income. I thought to myself: How am I supposed to leave any footprints? Then I went back to my hometown and grew crops.
Rajesh Kumar further shared that many media outlets reported that he gave up acting to become a farmer or that he lacked money as he continued to do farming for five years. However, he faced many challenges during this time and thanks to his training, he managed to overcome all difficulties.
