Bangladesh’s all-rounder Mahmudullah has announced his retirement from test cricket. He announced it on Wednesday. Mahmudullah has made this decision ahead of the test match against Pakistan that starts on Friday. This is considered a major setback for the Bangladesh team.

In announcing his retirement, Mahmudullah has said that he always wanted to leave Test cricket in the best moments of his career and perhaps this is the right time for him to retire from this format. Mahmudullah said that I will try to do my best for Bangladesh in ODI and T20.

Mahmudullah will continue to represent Bangladesh in ODI and T20 formats. He has played 50 test matches for Bangladesh. Mahmudullah has scored 2,914 runs with an average of 33.49. He also has 43 lots to his name. It has also marked 5 centuries and 16 half centuries in test cricket.

Mahmudullah is one of Bangladesh’s star cricketers. He also took over the Bangladesh team in the T20 World Cup. In this tournament Bangladesh lost all its Super-12 matches. Mahmudullah’s test run began in 2009 against the West Indies. The Bangladesh team had captured this series 2-0.
