The Indian team has to play a three-match ODI series against Australia before 2023, for which India’s squad was announced on Monday (September 18). Ahead of this series, former India batsman Abhinav Mukund warned that Team India needs to be wary of Australia’s fast bowler Mitchell Starc and spinner Adam Zampa.
Speaking on Sports 18, the former Indian batsman said: “Of course I think Starc and Zampa will be the biggest threat to India in the upcoming series.” When Jampa played IPL, he couldn’t bowl that well. But he looks more dangerous playing for Australia.
Abhinav Mukund believes Zampa always performs well against captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He looks very good against India. The former India batsman said, “Jampa has always done well against India. He bowled well against Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. But it’s also important to face them.”
It is noteworthy that the ODI series between India and Australia begins on Friday, September 22nd. After that, the second game of the series will be played on September 24th and the third on September 27th. The first match will be played in Mohali, the second in Indore and the third in Rajkot.
