He then introduced himself to Abu Salem by a different name. Monica says: “He told me he was a big businessman from Dubai.” Little by little we started talking daily. I fell in love with his voice.
The actress further says that “Abu Salem came to the US from Dubai after he was found guilty in the 1993 Mumbai bombings.” He called me there too. But after being there, I realized that I am now heavily trapped and it is impossible to get out of here. We tell you that Abu and Monica were arrested in Portugal in 2005 with fake passports. Monica had to go to prison along with Abu Salem. After her release from prison, Monica went to her village in Punjab because no one in Mumbai was willing to give her a house.
