This year, it will be held in person and maintaining its online platform the XXII Happy Mother Fair Expo of the Vega Real Cooperative.

The event, which will be held from May 4 to 29will have the participation of more than 40 exhibitors in the central venue and more than 30,000 people are expected to attend, including a broad participation of Dominicans in the United States and Europe.

The general manager of Vega Real, María Eugenia Acosta, stated that “The fair has been uninterrupted for 22 years, contributing to the creation of a culture of savings and financial education”.

Acosta explained that the entity faced the Covid 19 crisis, adapting to the digital format, which allowed the fair to continue.

“Now we have incorporated this knowledge into our processes, we work in an organized and strategic way, seeking constant improvement. It’s amazing how every year we reach the goals of the fair,” he said.

Similarly, the deputy for the province of La Vega, Agustín Burgos, expressed that it is a pride for vegans to have a fair that has become an icon of the country and He exhorted the mothers and children of the Cibao region to visit it.

While Luisa Jiménez de la Mota, provincial governor, motivated all the mothers to participate, enjoy and share in the fair.

The opening ceremony was supported by religious, political, and military authorities, representatives of the Dominican cooperative sector, associates, directors, and executives of the institution.

The blessing of the event was carried out by the parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Francisco Jiménez “cualo”, who thanked God for the opportunity to allow the associates to be together once again.
