They Turn Truck Refrigerated Boxes Into Modular Homes

They are achieving modular homes by transforming refrigerated truck bodies through an innovative reuse process. These are the companies Regoods and Lamberet who design and manufacture a range of 16 and 33 m low carbon modulestwo.

The idea of turning discarded coolers into low-carbon modules is innovative. These modules are proposed as new alternatives for professionals, such as guest rooms, exhibition spaces, shops, among others. This association of Regoods and Lamberet, a pioneer in the sector, seeks to revolutionize the construction market and recycle these metal boxes to give them a second life.

Advantages of refrigerated boxes

Regoods and Lamberet are focused on recycling end-of-life refrigerated boxes, material used in road transport. This can become raw material for designing eco-friendly modular homes.

The idea is simply to change the destination of this product. Unlike shipping containers or construction bungalows, Regoods and Lamberet modules do not consume new metal, but only wood of biological origin. Each module is transformed in different steps to give it specific properties, such as being low-power, durable, perfectly insulated and accessible for people with disabilities.

Low consumption modular homes

Regoods has announced that it will manufacture a range of low-consumption modules from 16 to 33 m², offering a new, more eco-friendly modular architecture without sacrificing user comfort.

By developing an After First Life (APV) supply chain for refrigerated cells, Regoods generates a significant flow of local raw material inputs.

In September 2022, Regoods and Lamberet entered into an alliance to develop a global industrial process, from finding end-of-life boxes to manufacturing Regoods modules.

The industrial synergy implemented will make it possible from 2023 to develop two models of 16 and 33 m2, with low consumption, robust and perfectly insulated.
