They train accountants and financiers from different public entities

The General Directorate of Government Accounting (Digecog) initiated a process of training for accountants and financiers of the Central Government, to instruct them in accordance with the provisions of the general accounting standards and the application of Law 126-01 to continue improving the efficiency in the financial management of the State.

Accountants from more than 35 addresses and ministrieswhere the General Director of Government Accounting, Rómulo Arias Moscat, urged them to carry out their accounting work in accordance with the norms and principles established by Law 126-01, so that the Financial Statements reflect reasonableness.

The official was emphatic in highlighting that, from the accounting and financial areas of public institutions, the provisions of the Dominican Constitution must be complied with and to the transparency guidelines issued by President Luis Abinader.

During the training workshop, Arias Moscat spoke of the need to obtain reasonable figures, which serve as a basis for the managers or incumbents of the institutions, and President Luis Abinader, can make decisions based on reliable numbers.
He reiterated the need for all non-financial public institutions to comply with Law no. 126-01.

The training was offered through Digecog’s Directorate of Standards and Procedures, responsible for training and regulatory assistance, and it was carried out for several hours, at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Government Accounting.
