The political leader Yomare Polanco, asked the members of the Court to review the judgment No.TC/0136/23 in which the appeal against the resolution contained in Act no. 009/2020.
During a press conference, he considered the decision as "a mistake" while he said that "I hope this has not been voluntary".
"I cannot believe that power has been used to cover up and protect the corrupt who embezzled more than five million dollars of public funds, those resources being destined to organize the elections of July 5, 2020 in the United States".
The former deputy candidate said that the magistrates dismissed his complaint about the alleged embezzlement of the money that was intended to be used for the Dominican elections in the United States, which led to his dispossession of the deputation he sought.
In this sense, he said that he will ask his lawyers in the United States to request the review and revocation of the sentence, as well as to continue the investigation of the events that occurred in the last elections.
