At least four people have been killed in a mass shooting in a small community south of Atlanta, a Georgia county government official said.
A statement from Henry County officials said thatthat police were still investigating an “active shooter incident” that happened on Saturday morning around 10:45 a.m. (local time) in a subdivision in Hampton, a city of about 8,500 people about 40 miles (65 kilometers) south of Atlanta.
“I can confirm that four people have died,” Melissa Robinson, a spokeswoman for the county government, said by phone. “As of now, the suspect remains at large.” Several local law enforcement agencies were helping, as was the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
