Caracas.- The first winners of the Future Games, the international tournament in the “Phygital” format that began on February 21 in the Russian city of Kazan, were the members of the Belarusian team “Minsk” by winning the virtual cycling competition held this Thursday.
The competition, which took place in the Russian simulator WattAttack, consisted of five disciplines: individual time trial, elimination race, scratch race, pace and points race. The winner is the team that scores the most points at the end of all tests. In total, the participants covered over 40 kilometers.
The Belarusians scored 522 points in the overall standings. Second place went to the Russian team “Marathon-Tula” (469) and third place to the Italian team “Italian Espresso” (425). The winning team received the tournament trophy and $52,500 in prize money.
In total, representatives of 12 teams from Russia, Belarus, Italy, France, Argentina, Spain, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Portugal and the United Kingdom took part in the race. Each consisted of two men and two women.
